Last week, we were really pleased to welcome William L’Heveder to Tokenovate as our new Chief Revenue Officer (read the full announcement here). At Tokenovate, William will help to accelerate our commercial activities and put rocket fuel in our growth tank. He brings a wealth of relevant industry experience, but rather than just listing his achievements to-date, we asked him a few questions instead:
Hello William. Good to have you on board. Tell us a bit about yourself!
At my core, I’m fundamentally a strategist and an organisational builder. I believe that defining vision and setting out the problem is the easy bit; successfully executing on that vision is the hard part, and that is what really excites me about joining Tokenovate. I love solving hard problems, breaking them down into component parts, analysing each one and improving each process. In doing so, creating a flywheel that generates sustainable growth at a fast pace. A big part of that execution is about building the right ecosystem and network of evangelists, clients and partners to accelerate the flywheel. Going alone makes life very hard.
Given your background, what do you think you can bring to us?
My entire career, I’ve grown commercial organisations from scratch to global client coverage, as well as securing funding from Series A to a PE exit. I am very much looking forward to driving the commercial platform to scale Tokenovate to global success. It all starts with a great product, and combined with a driven, high-calibre team, everything is possible. Richard has brought together a world-class team, and I will do my bit to ensure the success of Tokenovate.
What would you say are the biggest challenges or opportunities a company like Tokenovate is facing?
Young organisations typically face inertia at clients and partners, mixed in with healthy amounts of scepticism, due to being unproven commercially. Convincing key clients to become evangelists is key to success; once your clients start selling for you that is when things become really interesting. The opportunity for Tokenovate lies in the scale of the problem at hand, so much of post-trade life is manual work
When you’re not working, what do you like to do?
When not scaling commercial organisations, I can be found marauding around the great outdoors (mainly within vineyards with my young family and our dog) or in the boxing ring burning off some of that restless energy. To balance the physical output, I’m currently enrolled at Cambridge to do Machine Learning & Data Science, which provides me with a baseline understanding of AI and the future of work.
Welcome on board, William!
